Users' Association : What is the Users' Association?

It is regulated by Decree 1757 of August 3, 1994, and defines its main function as ensuring compliance with the rights and quality of the provision of health services to users, as well as education in duties.

Actively participate in the representations that are regulated by law at the level of institutions and territorial entities.

Metrosalud has 10 User Associations (one for each Hospital Unit) from which they appoint 3 representatives who are part of the Central User League, which meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 8:30 am to 11:00 am in the auditorium of the El Sacatín Building.

Representatives from this Central League have been appointed to the following bodies with voice and vote in them: Municipal Territorial Council of Social Security in Health (CTSSS), to the Community Participation Committee (COPACO), Hospital Ethics Committee and representative to the Board of Directors of ESE Metrosalud.
